1. Overview At United Cycle, we are committed to providing high-quality electric bicycles (e-bikes) and ensuring our customers have a reliable and enjoyable riding experience. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage, terms, and conditions for warranties on our e-bikes, reflecting our role as a retailer offering products from various manufacturers.
2. Warranty Coverage The warranty coverage for our e-bikes is primarily determined by the individual manufacturers. However, United Cycle offers the following general guidelines:
Frame: Covered against manufacturing defects for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
Electrical Components: Including motor, controller, and display, are covered for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Battery: Covered for 1 year from the date of purchase.
3. Warranty Conditions To ensure the validity of your warranty:
Registration: Register your e-bike with the manufacturer within 4 weeks of purchase, following the instructions provided in the user manual.
Approved Mechanics: All warranty work must be carried out by mechanics approved by United Cycle or the respective manufacturer.
Proper Use and Maintenance: The warranty is subject to proper care, maintenance, and reasonable use of the e-bike.
4. Exclusions to Warranty The warranty does not cover:
Consumable Parts: Items such as tires, inner tubes, chains, brake pads, and cables are considered consumables and are not covered.
Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear, including corrosion, rust, and paint chips.
Damage from Misuse: Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, accidents, or neglect.
Unauthorized Modifications: Any modifications or repairs not performed by approved mechanics.
5. Warranty Claim Process To initiate a warranty claim:
Contact United Cycle: Reach out to our customer support team with your proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue at hello@unitedcycle.co.uk
Assessment: We will assess the claim and, if valid, coordinate the repair or replacement of the defective part.
Shipping Costs: Warranty includes the replacement of parts and the cost of shipping.
6. Additional Notes: Battery Warranty: The battery warranty will be void if any attempt is made to open the battery case.
Frame Claims: In the case of a claim for a damaged frame, customers must contact United Cycle via email at hello@uniitedcycle.co.uk with a detailed description and photographs or videos of the damage. United Cycle will provide further instructions for examination and resolution.
